New look! New Backend!

Wow, much longer than we wanted between the last post and this one. Sorry life got in the way a bit. My wife and I had our 20th anniversary a couple weeks ago, killed a full weekend. My middle son plays football and has been killing Friday evenings (also Monday for JV games, he's a sophomore).


All that aside, we needed to start some code over due to being built without full knowledge of Unreal Engine. So that is what I


have been doing. I have learned so much in the last 3-5 weeks that I wished I knew a few months ago. You will see a lot of stuff we have covered before, some new as well. We are really trying to make the UI look a lot better and function better as well this go around.


It's starting to look like a fantasy setting as well. We bought some landscape assets to help with this. Wish I had time just to focus on that and make our own but honestly that would take about 2-3 months just for that (maybe more). We will use the ones we have bought to get a beta going. If we get any interest after that we will look into making our own.


So many things in the video, so check it out. I really like how the Great Tome is coming along. We almost have a playable game at this point, which is kind of the point. We really would love any feed back so let us know what you think!


Getting the new trees to harvestable and finishing the Great Tome interface will be what we work on this week. Hopefully we will release another video next weekend.
